Four sections, and a fifth at Gold

  • Voluntary Service

    Give your time to help people, your community or the environment.

  • Skills

    Get better at something you enjoy, from music to coding.

  • Physical Recreation

    Be active and improve at a sport, dance or fitness activity.

  • Adventurous Journey

    Plan and make a journey with friends, somewhere unfamiliar.

  • Residential Project

    Spend 5 days and 4 nights away from home with people you do not know, doing something new. Gold only.

Three levels

You finish your Award before your 25th birthday.

  1. Bronze

    From the school year in which you turn 14, at least 3 months (13 weeks).

  2. Silver

    From the school year in which you turn 15, at least 6 months (26 weeks).

  3. Gold

    From the school year in which you turn 16, at least 12 months (52 weeks).
